Norwegian Group Visits
Thirty members of the Landingslag group ended their 3-day conference in
Oconomowoc by visiting the Footville Telephone Museum, the Dial Building
and our LV Archives. Te group arrived at noon at the Footville
Friendly Cafe where they were served a delicious lunch and dessert, and
then divided into three groups and visited our three buildings.
The group then traveled to the Luther Valley Cemetery where they visited
ancestors' graves.
Special thanks to Bobby Hoerler and his staff
at the restaurant, and to Lois James who completed several ancestor
searches for members of the tour. 'Presenters' and helpers were
Blaine Snyder, Myron Bohn at the Telephone Museum and at the Archives
and Dial Building: Kay Demrow, Lois James, Elsie & Gene Mathewson,
Philip Vigdahl, Lyle Amundson, Bobby Hoerler and Chuck Hesgard.
Chuck and Lois accompanied a group to the Luther Valley cemetery where
good-byes were said. We thoroughly enjoyed their visit. |
